YOUR MISSION:
Leads and conducts event activities that facilitate communication of the organization's message to internal and external publics.

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?

- Lead and execute event activities to effectively communicate the organization's message to both internal and external audiences.
- Plan and deliver events on schedule and within budget, ensuring all deadlines are met and coordinating activities of all involved parties, including design, development, sales, marketing, and delivery teams.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to generate innovative ideas, topics, and themes for conferences and events, developing detailed proposals and business cases that align with company marketing plans.
- Supervise team members within established operational systems, ensuring adherence to processes and standards.
- Develop and manage short- and medium-term work schedules to meet planned commitments, approving overtime or additional resources as necessary.
- Oversee the operations of a large, multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality service delivery against objectives and standards.
- Monitor and review supplier performance, identifying gaps and recommending improvements or renegotiating contracts to ensure value for money.
- Manage budgets, identify variances, value completed works, and oversee supplier payments to control costs effectively.
- Set and achieve personal and team performance objectives using the organization's performance management systems, taking corrective actions as needed.
- Identify and address individual development needs within the team, planning and implementing actions to build capabilities, and providing training or coaching to enhance performance and potential.
- Adhere to the organization's health, safety, and environment (HSE) policies, identifying and mitigating risks to ensure the well-being of self and others in the workplace.
- Ensure compliance with the company's diversity and inclusion guidelines, fostering an inclusive work environment.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent level of education.
- Extensive experience in event management, with the ability to handle a variety of situations and provide guidance to others.
- Proven experience in planning and managing resources to achieve predetermined objectives.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in budget management and cost control.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.
