Role Overview
The Operational Excellence Power Apps Developer is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and supporting low-code solutions that enable internal business teams to operate efficiently and reliably. The role focuses on building and sustaining Microsoft Power Platform applications and automations, supporting users through ticket-driven troubleshooting, maintaining supporting SharePoint components, and performing minor SQL tasks for validation and reporting. The position is implementation-focused and is not accountable for requirements gathering, solution architecture, or product ownership.
Responsibilities Qualifications
Core Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain Power Apps used by internal business teams, ensuring applications are reliable, user-friendly, and aligned with defined functional requirements.
- Develop, update, and support Power Automate workflows, including approvals, notifications, and automated business processes.
- Respond to incoming tickets and support requests, troubleshooting and resolving application bugs, workflow issues, and configuration errors.
- Manage user access and permissions, including adding and removing users, configuring security roles, and ensuring appropriate access to applications, SharePoint sites, and related resources.
- Maintain and update existing SharePoint sites and lists that support Power Platform solutions, including structural updates, permissions, and content changes.
- Perform minor SQL work, such as basic queries or small scripts, to support application logic, reporting, or data validation (no ownership of database architecture or complex SQL development).
Ownership of Employee Flash Sale Process
- Serve as a key technical owner for the Employee Flash Sale process, including:
- Setting up and configuring new sales within the existing application framework.
- Adding, updating, and removing users as needed for each sale.
- Supporting sale execution and addressing issues during active sale periods.
- Ensuring the application and workflows operate correctly throughout the lifecycle of each sale.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for technical changes and operational support related to the flash sale applications.
Platform Expansion & Growth
- Support the gradual expansion of low-code capabilities beyond Microsoft Power Platform by contributing to or assisting with implementations in other low-code / workflow platforms such as Tulip, Pega, or similar tools as business needs evolve.
- Learn and adapt to new low-code platforms while applying consistent implementation, support, and maintenance practices across systems.
Scope & Focus
- The role is implementation-focused, not responsible for requirements gathering, solution architecture, or product ownership.
- Emphasis is placed on building, maintaining, and supporting applications rather than designing enterprise systems or performing traditional software engineering.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience building and supporting solutions in Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate.
- Working knowledge of SharePoint sites, lists, and permissions management.
- Ability to troubleshoot in production environments using a ticketing/support model and communicate clearly with business users.
- Basic SQL querying/scripting experience for validation and reporting support.
- Comfort operating in governed enterprise environments (security roles, access controls, change management).
