As non-financial regulations continue to evolve, the implementation of reinforced reporting and compliance processes remains a critical activity in the business. In this context, the goal of the Regional Sustainability and Finance teams is to ensure adherence to the Group Non-Financial Reporting Framework, while supporting the continuous improvement of data quality, performance management and control processes.

 

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?

 

Reporting to the Europe Chief Financial Officer with a functional reporting line to the Regional Head of Sustainability, we are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented ESG Data and Compliance Controller to join our team.

This role will contribute to ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of ESG data across the organisation, as well as for monitoring and ensuring compliance with relevant local ESG regulations and standards, in coordination with Group Sustainability and key functions within the Group and Region.

Key responsibilities included but are not limited to:

·  Partner with Functions, Markets and Maisons in the Region to support non-financial reporting requirements, including sustainability performance analysis and risk management, in line with Group policies and guidelines. This includes the identification and implementation of relevant local measures to support compliance with non-financial reporting standards to meet current and future regulatory requirements, including conducting gap analyses where necessary.
·  Contribute to improving ESG data quality for locally managed data, including through best practice benchmarking of data collection processes at local function/market level. - Support the evolution towards a performance-driven sustainability framework in the Region, structured around material priorities, and provide project management and data analytics support/expertise for senior management.
·  Work closely with Group Sustainability and L&D and Heads of Functions/Markets for the delivery of Group training, among others, on ESG reporting and compliance best practices and principles, including the identification of local training needs.
·  Work closely with Group and local Compliance and Legal teams to ensure compliance with ESG reporting and, where applicable, to due diligence requirements, while providing practical advice to key stakeholders in the Region, including keeping abreast of evolving standards.

 

HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US?

 

Knowledge & Skills

·  Sustainability performance management and ESG reporting technical knowledge (e.g. GRI; SASB; TCFD; ESRS)
·  Internal Control Systems or similar knowledge
·  Working knowledge of sustainability practices, and applicable laws and regulations
·  Excellent data management and analytical skills, including analytics of ESG data
·  Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including independent work and as part of a team
·  Combination of hands on and longer-term planning skills with the ability to lead and manage multiple projects at once in change management
·  Proficiency in relevant software applications, including data management tools, reporting software, and compliance platforms.
·  Fluency in English is essential, other languages are advantageous

Education & Experience

·  Degree in relevant discipline or equivalent work experience (sustainability, finance, business, accounting)
·  Specific knowledge of sustainability management / reporting practices – for example experience in ESG data management, compliance or reporting or a specific relevant certification in ESG or Sustainability
·  Min 3 years of experience in finance, accounting or sustainability roles
·  Relevant experience working with reporting frameworks and standards (Sustainability Standards are an advantage for example GRI; SASB; ESRS)
·  Track record of implementing standards, reporting and processes and demonstrated experience in working with multiple stakeholders to successfully execute projects
·  Experience or strong interest in the luxury sector
