Director, Workforce Management and Process Improvement

Cartier │ New York

MAIN PURPOSE

Reporting to the AVP Commercial Performance, the Director of Workforce Management & Process Improvement oversees the development and execution of Workforce Management (WFM) strategies and drive constant process Improvement related initiatives to promote operational excellence with data driven approach. The Director will also be responsible for leading and mentoring a team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

- Develop, maintain, and innovate the WFM function to support the Cartier North America retail network by establishing best practices and the strategic roadmap for the function.

- Develop, maintain, and adjust the components of the labor model to ensure optimal staffing and scheduling – inclusive of volume forecasts, labor standards, and appropriate scheduling processes.

- Utilize data to support adaptations to the labor model and provide recommendations to the operating model that enable efficiency and/or improved client experience.

- Identify and deploy new WFM tools and processes, ensuring smooth transitions and user adoption.

- Utilize data to identify and lead process improvement initiatives that will deliver optimized operational processes.

- Lead, mentor, and develop the team, fostering a high-performance culture.

- Partner with and influence cross functional teams involved in Workforce management initiatives and process improvement initiatives across the organisation

- Communicate effectively with senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations based on data analysis and industry best practices.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

·  Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, business administration, operations management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
·  Proven track record of success in a senior role, ideally within the retail industry, with a deep understanding of Workforce Management (WFM) strategies and constant process Improvement logics.
·  Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
·  Previous in-store working experience is highly regarded
·  Expert experience utilizing WFM systems (UKG, Reflexis, Quiynx, or others) to deliver optimal scheduling, staffing, and employee experience.
·  Expert in process engineer
·  Data and analytics-driven approach to problem-solving with experience outcomes, relying on clear, direct, and empathetic communication.
·  Problem solver who enjoys finding efficient and creative solutions.
·  Passionate about client satisfaction and able to motivate and face challenging situations.
·  Exhibits agility and openness to new ideas and ways of working.
·  Significant experience in leading Continuous improvement projects (Lean/Six Sigma Certifications and Project Leadership).
·  Capacity to orchestrate projects in a matrix-based organization with multiple stakeholders.
·  Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills required (both written & verbal).
·  Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic and cross-functional environment with project management skills.
·  Keen sense of the experience, service, and hospitality industry, ideally in the retail sector.

Expected salary:  $160,000 to $190,000

Salary will be negotiated based on relevant skills and experience.
