Trainee Estimator

Job description

Due to our continued expansion in the pre-cast concrete sector of the construction industry, Rhino Precast Ltd are looking to recruit a Trainee Estimator to learn, develop and progress into being an integral member of the commercial department in the company. The candidate will be self motivated, willing to learn, able to work to tight deadlines and be an effective communicator at all levels. Whilst progressing in the role, the candidate will gain the knowledge and training required to work independently.

The Role

• Work as part of a team to prepare detailed floor designs and estimates from customer enquiries.
• Taking quantities from architectural/engineer’s drawings, specifications and bills of materials in order to provide quotations.
• Pro-actively assisting members of the sales team in developing customer relationships and building our client base.
• Responding to and resolving customer tender and product queries.

Profile

Ideally the successful candidate will possess the following qualifications/experience:-

• Diploma or Certificate in Construction related course
• Good computer literacy (word/excel/email)
• CAD experience beneficial but not essential

This is a permanent appointment. Pay scale is dependent on experience and level of qualification.
