Junior Copywriter
Graduate job London (Greater London)
Job description
You hate Mondays because you hate your job. You should be a Copywriter…
We're looking for a talented, enthusiastic and motivated individual to work within our Marketing team, and join us on our mission to help the world love Mondays.
This role will concentrate on contributing a range of content to our site, including providing expert CV and interview advice to prospective jobseekers, and helping to enhance our content offering to recruiters.
What you’ll do
Create compelling content
Whether it’s writing about the latest job market trends, or helping people find their dream job through our dedicated career advice, we’re looking for someone who can produce fresh, high-quality and engaging content on a consistent basis.
Be the voice of our brand
We’re proud of our tone of voice, but it isn’t set in stone. You’ll quickly adapt to our writing style, but will also use your creative flair to help us evolve and champion our brand, all without using a single exclamation mark. We really don’t like exclamation marks.
Engage with our audience on social media
We have a bigger social media following than any other job board in the UK. As part of your role you’ll be helping us to plan and execute our social media output, along with responding to candidates on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and various other channels (Bebo, Myspace & Friends Reunited experience not necessary).
Help inform our content plan
All of our articles are carefully researched before they reach the writing stage. Your ideas will help maintain and inform our content plan, providing our users with timely and relevant content.
Keep up-to-date with SEO best practice
We don’t just want to produce incredible content - we want to make sure people can easily find it too. Implementing a range of best practices, such as keyword research and off-site syndication, will make SEO your new favourite acronym (not including YOLO, obviously).
What you’ll need
Excellent writing skills
An obsessive attention to detail
Originality
Creative flair
An inexhaustible supply of ideas
An almost super-human ability to spot poor grammar and spelling errorrs
What you’ll get
Aside from a competitive salary and an excellent bonus scheme, we’re big believers in celebrating success. In the past year we’ve sent people away on holidays (New York, Rome, A Place With A Sunny Beach We Can’t Remember The Name Of), activity days, hack days, treasure hunts, training weekends, posh local breakfasts, and scaling the O2, to name a few.
In fact, we recognise heroes around the business every month and give them the rewards they deserve. Add to that an individually tailored talent plan to help maximise your opportunities for career progression, and a supportive atmosphere where you’re encouraged to achieve, and you start to see why so many of our staff stick around.
Oh, and there’s also free fruit and Nespresso coffee. You know, if you like that kind of thing…**
This role isn’t right for you if…
You’re not comfortable writing every day
You just want to sit on the internet and look at cat pictures
Your idea of cutting-edge social engagement is poking people on Facebook
You don’t know what an ellipsis is…
You write mostly in emojis (N.B. winky faces will be treated on a strictly case-by-case basis)
So if you want to work for the UK’s biggest recruitment brand and you’re ready to start loving Mondays, get in touch today.
*Other benefits include up to 30 days annual leave a year, childcare vouchers, a company pension scheme, personal accident cover, a personal development allowance and free eye tests.
