Job description
The Event Marketing Specialist for Culture is responsible for driving the development and execution of Culture Marketing programs and events, as directed by the Culture Event Marketing Manager (CEMM) in the South Business Unit (SOBU). The Event Specialist will assist the CEMM in the day-to-day project management and execution of Red Bull Music Culture Clash, Red Bull Amaphiko and additional SOBU Culture Marketing initiatives.

· Development and Execution of Culture Marketing event series in the SOBU
Manage, track, and maximize Red Bull Culture Marketing assets.
Ensure quality event execution and production for BU Culture Marketing event series and creative event ideas.
Responsible for creative development & future Red Bull events – gold standard.
In conjunction with On-Premise counterparts, identify and propose sites for On-Premise-meets-Culture properties based on local market needs.
Develop event series plan, oversee execution, and coordinate project team.
Oversee pre-planning through event execution.
Ensure information flow between team members and stakeholders.
Manage assigned event budgets.
Construct contracts with assistance of Legal department, put contracts out for bid, assess the best proposals, and negotiate best price/quality for all relevant partners/suppliers.
Manage project risks informed by Risk Management.
Source and manage event production companies and oversee all event logistics for assigned projects.
Collaborate with Partnership Marketing Manager to establish partner/sponsor targets and realize revenue.
Work with agencies to develop creative and collateral for event series.
Work with Red Bull Media House (RBMH) and BU media relations managers to maximize media outcome around key projects.
Work with CMM and CEMMs to develop new ideas and spearhead feasibility for BU projects.
· Support development and execution of strategic plans to create relevance in the local markets.
Manage communications of strategy, standards, and practices for implementation of BU initiatives.
Work with Culture Marketing Managers (CMMs) and local cells in building-out activation plans that drive relevance within local markets.
Organize and manage distribution of event collateral for BU for assigned events.
Work with established BU counterparts to execute event series leveraging local relationships: i.e.: Red Bull Music Academy (RBMA) programming via Mr. network, regionally focused festivals.
Serve as a branding expert.
Work with field and third parties as necessary to develop new and innovative branding solutions for events.
Develop and execute branding plan for all assigned events.
Manage agencies for national programs.
Help develop talent by working with the grad program.
Help teach and manage the work of Grads in the BU.
Educate Grads on brand, marketing, and culture.
· Share Best Practices and Communicate Key Initiatives
Work closely with National Culture Marketing team, CMM, and CEMMs.
Actively participate in meetings such as CMM creative workshops and trainings to gather and share learnings and align strategies.
Assess key learnings and apply successful models to the BU.
Coordinate with Consumer Collecting Specialists (CCSs) and Student Brand Managers (SBMs) to execute and leverage Culture Marketing programming in the collegiate environment.
Present new ideas and obtain feedback for project and tactical innovation; submit original ideas to RBMH for original content and media angles.
Actively collect and communicate best practices, news/status, etc.
Update Infonet & monthly event calendars for CMM network, BU marketing managers, and field sales organizations.
Drive ROI and ensure RBMH deliverables are met in partnership with Communications Departments to ensure proper communication (external and internal) – includes creating & managing content distribution of local initiatives to relevant channels (viral, print, video).
· Administrative
Fiscally responsible for event budgets on assigned projects.
Work with Risk Management and legal departments to facilitate all necessary agreements with outside parties according to Red Bull standards.
Support CMM and BU teams in building business plans, Infonet updates, RBMH rights clearances, program recaps, finance documentation and processing.
Provide timely strategic program and technical feedback for BU teams and monthly reporting.
Red Bull brand values are brought to life through engaging and credible marketing campaigns, strategic event execution and leveraging of event series in local markets.
Delivery of memorable Red Bull experiences to consumers that drive word of mouth and brand passion.
Maximum awareness is generated via creative and comprehensive harnessing of all relevant media & communication opportunities.
Projects are executed in a timely manner, within budget and as gold standard executions.
Effective collaboration and coaching across departments.
Seamless communication flow across all key project stakeholders.
Innovative solutions and creative ideas generated for future implementation across Red Bull.
Communication and sharing of Best Practices.
Ensuring all departments are maintaining credibility when engaging with culture (music, art, dance, etc.)

Strong (2-4 years) relevant experience in regional events, projects, team coordination and budget management.

The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of event and project management, possess strong people skills, and have the ability to find creative, effective and unique solutions for project execution.

Knowledge of a wide variety of culture scenes (music, dance, art, design…), on a regional, national & global level.
·
Experience managing events, particularly music events: production, talent management, scene outreach.
·
Creativity and idea generation.
·
Familiarity with relevant content distribution outlets (all communications channels).
·
Some understanding of TV and video production programming.
·
Excellent communication skills, including presenting and training abilities.
·
Strong coach/leader, ability to foster meaningful dialogue and gain buy-in.
·
Proven planning and project management experience.
·
Ability to cultivate team environment and alignment.
·
Creative mind with a track record of putting new ideas into practice and delivering results.
·
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Bachelor's degree preferred
