Job description
The Demand Planner is responsible for creating and maintaining the demand plan for Red Bull beverage at multiple levels of aggregation, using statistical models within SAP APO, and utilizing insights from Sales, Marketing, and Finance. The Demand Planner ensures alignment with company’s sales targets and financial plans. The Demand Planner works closely with his/her peers in Red Bull North America (RBNA) to develop, implement and share best practices.

· DEMAND PLANNING
Responsible for planning and scheduling the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings for finished goods products for areas managed
Responsible for analyzing the historical sales data, compare Operational, Financial, Field-Sales forecasts (item by item), and make proposals based on base line and promotional impact during S&OP meetings
Update and maintain monthly SKU/DC level forecasting SAP APO planning system
Provide Demand Planning Management the insights necessary to gain management approval of proposed forecast by explaining assumptions and trends to the forecast and identifying risks and opportunities to the operational and company plans
Drive root cause analysis to understand demand plan error in prior periods, and implement improvement initiatives based on analysis
Work with Sales team to understand relationship between trade spending and product volume
Utilize fact-base approach to challenge assumptions inconsistent with brand strategy and highlight risks and opportunities
Translate SKU monthly forecast to executable and effective DC level demand signal for supply planning
Become an integrated key-player within the Operations team to support continuous improvement in the total Supply Chain
· OPERATIONS
Work to resolve demand imbalances with key stakeholders
Participate in the identification and assessment of the impact of changing the customer base
Partner with Supply Planning and Logistics to successfully manage product transitions, both new product introductions and end of life
Partner with stakeholders in Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Planning and Customer Service teams to maximize customer fulfillment while concurrently minimizing working capital investment
Participate in efforts to reduce costs throughout the Supply Chain
Your experience includes:
(proven performance in)

1-3 years of experience in a consumer goods environment with an understanding of major retail accounts and forecasting supply chain management
·
Comprehensive knowledge of high level retail operations, forecasting technology, systems, market research data, and supply chain management
·
Proven ability to conduct complex, quantitative and statistical analyses complimented with qualitative inputs from multiple sources to draw conclusions and make recommendations
·
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field with undergraduate statistical analysis or engineering focus
·
High caliber of professional interpersonal skills, with excellent analytical, conceptual, and communication skills (both oral and written)
·
Knowledge and experience in SAP / SAP APO preferred
·
Self-motivated team member who can drive resolution to issues with strong problem solving skills
·
APICS certification a plus
·
DSD experience a plus
·
Moderate to Advanced skills in in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
