Job description
The Culture Communications Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day editorial communication for culture projects through all media channels. They build and keep close relationships with UK media representatives and influencers. They strategically plan the national communication approach for single events, artist projects and culture programmes, selecting the relevant channels and pitching messages/topics to drive editorial outcome in earned and owned media. They plan and implement the corresponding content production and distribution (photography & video content).

Red Bull has been involved in music over the past twenty years, establishing ourselves as a credible force in the UK scene. This role will work on projects that sit within our music offering, from Normal Not Novelty to Grime-a-Side.
Lead in the development of a target-oriented, well-balanced plan that serves local business need.
Support the Culture Communications Manager in the development of plans around tentpole activations.
Make full use of Red Bull’s content portfolio by leveraging local and international projects in the local media market to build brand awareness and image.
Develop customized editorial plans.

Following the success of global events such as Red Bull Amaphiko and Red Bull Basement, 2018 marks the first year Red Bull UK is moving in to this space. The aim of this area is to give wings to 18-24yr olds and help facilitate their ideas to create positive social change through unique events and experiences.
Across all of these, the Specialist will not only distribute content from local UK productions but also syndicate international content to national media outlets, working closely with communications agency partners. They provide creative input in relation to culture topics to Red Bull own channel editorial teams across RedBull.com, The Red Bulletin and Red Bull TV.
They will be responsible for collating and presenting regular media impact reports across all UK projects.
Lead in the development of a target-oriented, well-balanced plan that serves local business need. Working closely with Head of Social Innovation to build and shape Red Bull’s role within this space.
Make full use of Red Bull’s content portfolio and international projects in the local media market to build brand awareness and image.
Drive plans with credible partners within this space.
Develop customized editorial plans.
· All channels
Establish a network of personal relationships with media contacts, content developers, photographers etc. in all relevant fields for Red Bull to support the national communication targets and business plan goals
Distribute customized local content nationally to the appropriate media outlets in print, web, TV and radio supporting the own channel needs and strategies
Monitor the quality and quantity of the generated results to fine-tune future approaches
Feed the Red Bull Media House with new format ideas, suggest content for channel building and drive the establishment of a credible 360-degree media company
Your experience includes:
(proven performance in)
·
3-5 years’ experience in editorial communication/PR for music/culture marketing activations
·
Highly active and personally interested in the music/art scene
·
Interest in social innovation and socially conscious issues affecting our 18 – 24yr old target market
·
Understand and have experience of the national media landscape (print, broadcast & digital) – with an established list of contacts within media already
·
Exceptional story telling skills
·
Understanding of distribution across owned and earned channels
·
EDV (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
·
Production knowledge (photography, text, moving images)
·
University Degree or relevant experience
·
Fluent in written and spoken English
