Fine Art Technician - London - c£15.5-17K + (OTE £20-23K)- VR/15830
My client a Fine Art Shipper based in London is looking for an Art Technician who ideally has some experience working within a successful art gallery, museum, logistic company or auction house who has spent time within art logistics, or installing and handling fine art.
Key Responsibilities of the Fine Art Technician:
- Handle all new and existing artwork
- Picture hanging
- Coordinate and manage all logistics relating to art shipping.
- Attend clients homes to hang or install pieces of art
- Manage incoming and outgoing stock
- Log and promptly report any damages
- Export Wrapping
Ideal candidates for this role will come from an auction house or commercial art gallery setting. You will need to have experience co-ordinating deliveries, art installation and de-installation; exhibitions set up, and object preparation.
The company will also consider a trainee who has recently graduated in Fine Art with some industry related work placements, or someone who has a small amount of experience within the fine art industry that is interested in building their experience.
In return, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary plus the chase to increase their earning with plenty of overtime offered. Overtime will be paid at either time and a half or double time dependant on days/times.
