Young, creative and fun ecommerce business with bases in central Shoreditch & Digbeth in Birmingham seeks like-minded individual to help out with marketing, PR & content writing. GSOH essential!

The Ideal Candidate:

A confident, creative & ambitious graduate, with mind-bogglingly fantastic writing skills, who wants to dive face first into the exciting world of creative copywriting, marketing & PR.

Direct experience isn’t necessary, but being adaptable, highly self-motivated, organised, and a natural communicator are all essential qualities for this role. Experience with Photoshop & an eye for design will definitely earn you big bonus points!

The Role:

The role will begin with an internship of up to 2 months (first month expenses paid, second month fully paid). After this point, if all goes well, there will be a full-time job available for the right candidate.

You will primarily be responsible for writing creative content for our website, managing our social media presence, and chatting up the media to gain us exposure in magazines.

Over time, your role will grow to encompass more offline / online marketing areas, providing general assistance across wider areas of the business, with the ultimate goal of becoming our all-singing-all-dancing marketing manager.

Due to the size of our growing business (just 3 staff at present), your awesome work and input into the business will be noticed, meaning the career potential for the right, motivated, candidate is practically limitless.

Your main duties will initially include:

• Copywriting for new products / website content / blog
• Developing our existing social media presence across Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, Instagram
• Creating eye-catching press releases to send out to the media
• Coming up with, and helping to implement, new & exciting ideas to grow the business
• Assistance with new product sourcing, including trade shows
• Assistance with customer services

Desired profile

Required Skills / Experience:

• Degree level education (or equivalent)
• Top notch creative writing skills
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, Pintrest
• Attention to detail & organisational skills
• Self-motivation is an absolute must
• The passion, and the creative ability, to innovate

Bonus Points (not essential):

• Experience in a Marketing role
• Experience in a PR role
• Experience in ecommerce / retail sector
• Solid knowledge of Photoshop, Excel & Word
• A dab hand at graphic design
