The Division

This team is responsible for Retail Processing Operations, Debt Management Operations and Mortgages. We provide Concern & Query and 24/7 Web Chat support to our UK Retail counterparts. The PPI teams work on Registration, Calculation, Data Gathering, and Investigations & Payments for customer complaints related to PPI. We also provide 24/7 ‘Bank by Phone' services to RBS Retail Bank – India customers

JOB PURPOSE

This role requires the individual to process all critical and complex transactions as per the defined KPIs in the Service Schedule

Underwriting - Process Description

The process begins when a mortgage application is submitted via Broker/Direct channel.

The underwriting team in SSI then needs to assess the POD A cases which involves performing affordability checks like income verification and expenditure validation through various documents submitted by customer, Customer authenticity checks (KYC), wherever applicable, post which we make an underwriting decision in line with the credit policy and contact the customer via email/text.

The Responsibilities

This role requires the individual to process all critical and complex transactions as per the defined KPIs in the Service Schedule.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

List the expected end results that must be achieved in order to fulfil your job purpose and the activities that help in achieving these results

Process Delivery

· Ensure delivery as per defined turn around time and accuracy levels and other applicable KPIs (as defined)
· Process all complex and critical transactions
· Help in reducing customer complaint trends and identifying training gaps (if any) attributable to processing errors
· Ensure adherence to OPDs / process manuals and communicate updates to the team as and when required

Process Improvement

· Participate/lead in change and continuous improvement (e.g. Workplace Workout / Team Based Problem solving) activity affecting the process providing inputs

Risk & Control

· Maintain green status on all process specific and generic controls as per AYIC (Are You In Control)
· • Ensure adherence to group policy at RBS

People

· Active participation in daily team huddles, maintaining good relationships within teams

Educational Qualification

Graduate\MBA in any stream. Preferably from commerce background.

Relevant Experience

Employee with 2+ years of experience in Banking/FI
