The Business

The Role:

Join us as a Software Designer - Qlikview and be a part of team responsible for the development and support of a suite of approx. 40 Qlikview based applications used to deliver BI to 100s of users and also delivery of many scheduled, fixed format reports utilising Cognos. It requires understanding of the Data/Business and SQL/Data Modelling development and also familiar with TSQL database queries.

What the Business does

This role is based in the S-Mart team within TMOSS at Technology India.

Technology India designs, builds, implements and supports global technology services for the bank. This includes application builds, testing, deployment, on-going IT Infrastructure support and a broad range of Keeping the Show on the Road (KSOR) activities. It is a key strategic element of the global technology function, enabling the bank to deliver 24/7 services to customers. The team also provides technology needs to the bank's local businesses.

S-Mart has a large scale data warehouse which is used to drive reporting extensively across Sales, Trading, Finance and other business areas of bank. We are responsible for the development and support of a suite of approx. 40 Qlikview based applications used to deliver BI to 100s of users and also delivery of many scheduled, fixed format reports utilising Cognos. Along with that, we have a number of C# /ASP.Net web applications (35+) with backend on MS SQL Server 2012 and ParAccel.

Your Responsibilities

As a Software Designer , your key responsibilities will include:

·  Demonstrated strength in requirements analysis and experience with large-scale systems development.
·  Substantial Qlikview development experience including service administration, cluster management, load balancing, paged security Implementations
·  Significant data analysis skills on large, complex data sets
·  Ability to build data loading scripts against a number of platforms,including substantial SQL development skills
·  Investigate and resolve problems including liaising with other systems if needed
·  Document all solutions and share information across the Support team.
·  Resolve issues rose as alerts and follow the correct resolution procedures, escalating as required
·  Actively assist line manager/analyst/tech lead with process / case improvements
·  Co-ordination and Interaction with business users and relevant technology forums as and when required.

The S kills you'll need

In order to be successful in this role, you must have the following skills & experience:

Essential Experience: (Must have)

·  A qualification from an engineering college / B.TECH from reputed university
·  Qlikview certification (Good to have)
·  3-5 years of relevant experience in Qlikview development .
·  Hands-on and knowledge on SQL Server T-SQL having at least 1-2 years of experience.
·  Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively at all levels across Business users and technology teams.
·  Can work well both individually or in a team by taking a collaborative approach to problem solving and delivery
·  Ability to drive change and influence at all levels.
·  Organized, methodical and thorough with a detailed and structured approach to problem solving.
·  Self-starter/highly motivated person who is prepared to use their own initiative in understanding and following up issues
·  Flexible with the ability to multitask.
·  Takes ownership of problems through to resolution
·  Keen to learn business processes and technical skills.
·  Ability to work out of hours and weekends

Supplementary Experience: (Good to have)

·  Experience in large scale IT software implementations
·  Experience in Cognos reporting platforms
