Private Banking Assistant, Coutts
Guildford (Surrey) Accounting / Management control
Job description
The Business
If you possess exceptional interpersonal skills and adopt a customer centric approach in all elements of your work, here is a fantastic opportunity to join Coutts, and develop your financial expertise.
As a valued part of this prestigious bank, you'll assist our Private Bankers in client service delivery by building strong client relationships and providing assistance with day to day activities. This role offers the opportunity to enhance your banking product knowledge and gain exposure to some of the country's most successful entrepreneurs, while you enjoy a collaborative, driven and team oriented working environment.
At Coutts, we offer modern banking based on traditional values. So although our name may be steeped in history, our products and services are very much for today.
What you'll do
As Private Banking Assistant, you'll provide vital support to Private Bankers by serving their banking requirements and offering a smooth client experience. As such, you'll act as the secondary point of contact to clients, developing strong and trusting relationships. You'll support Private Bankers to help them deliver an exceptional client service and meet performance targets. You'll work alongside colleagues across the wider function to meet and exceed client expectations.
You'll attend meetings to support personal development and enhance the client experience, while assisting with complaint analysis and devising appropriate and effective resolutions. You'll recognise new client and marketing opportunities to identify potential referrals for the Private Office, as well as managing local initiatives.
You'll manage the workflow in an efficient manner by providing client diary management, meeting preparation and managing client communication including letters and care calls. It's vital that you continuously develop your personal knowledge of banking and credit products, as you'll assist with the preparation of credit product applications and general banking product documentation.
You'll also be an advocate for driving continuous improvement by challenging and improving existing processes.
What you'll bring
You'll have experience of working in a banking or financial services environment, and be comfortable working within a culture of exceptional client service. You'll have a talent for building relationships with people, and you'll always pay close attention to detail. You'll also be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, and possess strong numeracy capabilities.
As well as this, you'll be a highly motivated individual, driven to complete any relevant internal accreditations within set timescales and any other necessary training.
As a Financial Services organisation we comply with and support the requirements set by our Regulator, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), which are designed to protect our customers.
