What you'll do
In this role, you'll be managing the payment nostros, the physical cash in and out of the bank, as well as the settlement nostros for Treasury, which uses can include lending, hedging and Foreign Exchange (FX). You'll be providing an administrative service for the Treasury and Money Market (MM) front office, where you'll be preparing Forward Foreign Exchange (FFX) confirmations and valuations.
You'll be preparing confirmations of structured products, such as deposits and investments, as well as the checking and releasing of FX and MM rates. You'll also be advising on the cash position to the front office Treasury desk for all major currencies.
This is a varied role with many different elements, so day to day your duties could range from nostro cash funding and levelling, and providing cash position to the Treasury desk, to releasing and reconciling market products, and FX reconciliation checking. They could also include:
· Preparing FFX confirmations and valuations
· FX and MM blockings
· Interest adjustments
· Settlement and confirmation processing
· Checking and releasing both FX and MM rates
· Webster payment redirects
What you'll bring
As a Position Keeper, you must have a willingness to undertake an ACI operations certificate, and be able to work under pressure, either on your own or as part of a team. You must be able to draw on your numerate skills and pair this with strong communication skills.
You'll also need an understanding of FX and MM, banking instruments and systems, with experience in a payments or Treasury role being very advantageous.
Location: St Helier, Jersey
Due to local legislation, you will need to possess the right to work in Jersey to Undertake this role.
