FX Prime Global Services Analyst
Graduate job Manchester (Greater Manchester) Accounting / Management control
Job description
The Business
If you have a combination of investment banking experience and exposure to a client facing area, there is an opportunity to join our Global Services team within Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB). During this six month contract as a Prime Brokerage Global Services Analyst, you'll gain exposure to a range of different products in a team where there is plenty of potential for growth and development.
Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) is our wholesale banking business, serving large corporate clients, financial institutions, governments and their agencies. We meet clients' needs by helping them raise, protect, and move money – activities which support all the economies where we operate, particularly in the UK.
What you'll do
Working within the Prime Brokerage area, you'll support CIB and high profile clients, such as hedge funds, who require operational support to facilitate their trading with other banks. By working accurately, you'll meet tight deadlines to make sure each client's P&L is booked, and that their monthly invoices are distributed on time.
You'll monitor failed settlements, and review, investigate and provide front to back management of breaks to minimise potential losses for the business. You'll play a crucial part in supporting and guiding all new clients through the onboarding process, and you'll work closely with clients to understand their requirements to create bespoke reporting suites. Key to this role is building great working relationships at all levels of Sales and Support including teams across Credit, Finance and Market Risk to provide an excellent service.
In this role, you'll also:
· Collaborate with IT and the business to implement new billing models, and manage billing system enhancements and onboarding of new clients
· Provide support across Derivatives and FX products
· Develop a clear understanding of trades and trading patterns to identify issues on clients' accounts
What you'll bring
We're looking for a good communicator who has investment banking experience and previous exposure to a client facing environment. This will be supported by your understanding of at least one FX product. You'll have good attention to detail, and be able to carry out work to a high degree of accuracy, while adapting to changing priorities. You'll be confident dealing with the front to back office.
Stakeholder management skills will be crucial, as you'll need to build great relationships and provide influence to people across multiple teams. Ideally, you'll also have knowledge of Nostro Reconciliations and Investigation.
How we'll reward you
In return, we offer a competitive salary plus 15% cash and benefit funding programme that can be tailored to suit your individual needs. In addition, we provide a wide selection of exclusive lifestyle offers, development and learning programmes, services and support designed to help you manage and balance your work/life priorities.
