Job description

The Requirements

We're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join us as a Financial Crime Associate within Fraud & Chargeback Operations. If you have a passion to make a genuine impact on the safety of our customers through the prevention of fraud, this is an exciting opportunity that promises valuable exposure to a high profile area of the bank, and offers real opportunity for personal and professional development.

In Services, the support we provide to our customers is crucial for the successful running of the bank. Every payment we make, every account we open and every customer call we take is in some way supported by us. For this reason, we have a huge responsibility and opportunity to take part in the task of building a better bank.

Fraud & Chargeback Operations actively identify, investigate and prevent fraud activity while providing a comprehensive service to customers who have been the victims of fraud or those who have disputed transactions with Retailers.

What you'll do

As we progress through the digital age, we're continually developing the ways in which our customers can bank with us, ensuring a convenient and straight forward service. With every inch of our progression, however, we need to ensure our customers are safe. Based in our dynamic, fast paced contact centre, you'll build effective trusted relationships with our customers on every call you take, and by listening carefully and asking the right questions, you'll identify and promote the best possible resolution to a broad array of fraud related issues.

You'll build and maintain a broad awareness of financial crime enabling you to handle a wide range of queries, understanding and actively responding to customers' needs and complaints efficiently and effectively, providing continual assurance and delivering outstanding customer service.

What you'll bring

Relationship building and interpersonal skills, and the personal credibility to engage and communicate with your stakeholders – often regarding sensitive issues- is essential. You'll have a natural flair and genuine desire to help customers by using a full range of investigative tools, as well as a keen eye for detail to identify potential risks to the bank.

In order to be available to our customers 24/7, you'll need to be flexible and adapt to a variety of shift patterns, and you'll also need the ability to multitask and work well under pressure.

Essentially, we're looking for someone with an innovative mind set with a proactive approach to problem solving, who is passionate about fraud and will be proactive in developing and expending their own skill set and knowledge of this specialist area.

Additional Information

· You'll need to be available to work a variety of shift patterns up until 10pm
· You'll be required to work 1 day within each weekend
· An element of the shift allowance may be payable and will be discussed in more detail when your shift patterns are agreed
