Job description

QuantBet is an automated sports betting specialist. We design, develop and maintain a high-speed automated sports betting platform.

Your role will be to work closely with other traders, developers and quants to complete your duties. Some of these include:

Comparing daily match fixtures from multiple sources and use custom software to map external team and competition names to an internal representation
Check for historical errors in our database and fix when these arise
Use custom software to monitor the health and performance of our live betting platform. Perform regular objective checks on various KPI statistics vs their expected values, as well as more subjective performance checks
You will investigate the causes of abnormal behaviour and look for explaining factors. You will gain a good working knowledge our system which consists of many separate software applications running on several cloud servers around the world
Maintain and provide department documentation
Provide recommendations for improvements to internal software / processes, with the (unachievable) aim of automating the entire role
Ensure models are not exposed to high risk scenarios, through data we see coming from bookmakers and watching live TV pictures
Communication of trading developments to other traders
Collect and compile data from external sources for internal use on request

Essential:

Flexible with regard to shift patterns as you will be required to work weekends and evenings

Comprehensive knowledge of Football

Desirable:
