In Economics Consulting you’ll advise high‑profile clients in the public and private sectors, providing economic insights and evidence to help inform their business decisions and shape their organisations. Our work addresses the most complex business and policy issues facing our clients, whether it’s navigating competition and commercial disputes; shaping efficient and competitive markets; providing macroeconomic forecasts; or appraising framing and delivering big investments.
Programme
These eleven-month placements are for students who need to complete a placement as part of their degree. You could sit a selection of professional accounting exams and leave with a graduate job offer to fast track into a second year role upon graduation. You’ll work alongside graduate trainees and experienced professionals on live and interesting client projects. So you’ll get a good insight into working life at PwC.
What you'll do
You’ll get to work closely with the best in Government and Health Industries in the UK and abroad, bringing fresh ideas and insights to the challenges they face. This includes contributing to the design, delivery and evaluation of large-scale investments, navigating competition, providing economic forecasts and publishing thought leadership.
Our team includes a blend of strategists, policy analysts, project managers and economists who are passionate about working with clients in the Government and Health Industries throughout the UK and beyond. We look for people with a combination of strong intellectual curiosity, commercial awareness, analytical skills, flexibility, team working abilities, and the confidence to present your opinions to senior stakeholders.
What you'll need
You'll need to be on course for a 2.1 degree or above in any subject
Where will you be based?
The role will be based in Belfast, however, you may be asked to work in other locations within the UK and beyond for short, medium and long-term periods of time due to client requirements. We will discuss your desire and ability to do this as part of the recruitment process.
