Apprentice School and college leaver programme

Compliance Services

Our tax practice has transformed our Tax Compliance proposition and delivery model to combine our three service streams; Corporate, Personal and Global Mobility compliance.

This role is for Compliance Services - Private Client.

Specifically, you will  have the opportunity to work with our high profile clients, whether on, individual, partnership, trust or expatriate tax returns.

What you will do

· 
Work with our clients, taxpayers and overseas PwC offices to gather information required for tax calculations and manipulate the data as needed.

· 
Prepare tax calculations ensuring all income is reported and all applicable tax reliefs / deductions are claimed; researching any complex points; liaising with the client / taxpayer to request additional information / clarify areas of uncertainty; and make any necessary amendments based on instruction from the reviewer, client portfolio leader, client or taxpayer.

· 
Flag opportunities for clients to optimise tax savings, increase compliance with regulations, and improve data reporting.

What you will gain

As part of the programme you will undertake a structured, self-directed learning programme gaining knowledge of the industry and market, technical skills, self-development, self- awareness, leadership skills, and commercial awareness.

You will enjoy plenty of practical, on-the-job training while studying for the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) professional qualification. The great thing is, by the time you complete your exams, you will have lots of valuable experience to build on. After completion of the ATT, there may be the opportunity to pursue further professional qualifications such as the CTA qualification with the Chartered Institute of Taxation, or the ACA qualification with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).

What you need to get in

You'll need to have or be on course for 112 UCAS tariff* (or equivalent)

· 
You'll need to have a Grade C or above in GCSE English Language and Mathematics (or equivalent)

*from up to three A Levels (excluding General Studies) or equivalent, taken in the same academic year and achieved at first sitting
