Job description

Vacancy Description:

The PwC Deal
No matter which area of the business you choose to join, all routes offer the same deal. The opportunity to grow as an individual, to meet new people, and build lasting relationships that will stay with you for life.

Consulting
You'll be part of the team that delivers practical, insightful advice that gets straight to the heart of the big business issues. And make a real impact on the bottom line.
Whichever part of Consulting you join, you'll help organisations of all shapes and sizes grow faster and work smarter. And whatever issues you're tackling on their behalf, you'll work with inspiring leaders to deliver results they can measure and a standard of client service that's truly second to none

What you'll do

Undergraduate work placement
These eleven-month placements are for students who need to complete a placement as part of their degree. You could sit a selection of professional accounting exams and leave with a graduate job offer to fast track into a second year role upon graduation.

You'll work alongside graduate trainees and experienced professionals on everyday projects. So you'll get a good insight into working life at PwC.

What you'll gain
By experiencing life inside one of the world's largest professional services organisations, you'll have a fantastic opportunity to build and work on your commercial awareness and interpersonal skills.

Nothing can beat on-the-job experience for developing your skills - and you'll get plenty of it, both within PwC and on-site with clients - but we'll also steer you in the direction of appropriate training courses to develop you further.

We'll also be looking to boost your ability to soak up complex business information, as well as your professional confidence - factors which will make a real difference when you return for your last year at university.

Our people

What you need to get in

·  Be on course for a 2.1 degree or above in any subject
·  Be on four-year degree programme that features a sandwich placement element

Outstanding potential takes many forms and academic success is just one measure. That's why we have our 'Outstanding Achievement' entry route - it's an innovative way we're able to support applications from people who may not have met the academic requirements we're looking for, but have excelled in something else.

Do you need sponsorship to work in the UK?
We can't provide sponsorship for internships and fixed-term placements. However, if you're in full-time education in the UK under the Tier 4 (General) category, current regulations may permit temporary employment during holiday periods or as part of your studies.

If you're studying outside the UK, you'll need to obtain your own right to work in the UK to undertake a placement with us.
All our people need to demonstrate the skills and behaviours that support us in delivering our business strategy. This is important to the work we do for our business, and our clients. These skills and behaviours make up our global leadership framework, .

·  Application form - Please make sure you've supplied us with full and accurate information, or we may not be able to progress your application. Depending on the area you've applied to, you'll need to complete some additional competency-based questions on your initial application form.
·  Online assessments - You'll be asked to complete numerical and inductive (sometimes called logical reasoning) tests. During this process, you'll also be invited to complete our work style preference questionnaire, called the 'Occupational Personality Questionnaire (OPQ)'. You'll have the option to complete mock assessments which include the ability tests - once only - before you take your actual assessments. We appreciate you want to show us your full potential, so we strongly encourage you to take the opportunity to do so.
·  Telephone interview - This will be a one-to-one interview which provides you with the opportunity to display the qualities that paper can't do justice to. We're looking for you to provide us with evidence of the skills we're seeking as well as reassuring us that you've thought carefully about your career choice. You need to be able to demonstrate that you have a clear interest in the business world and PwC.
·  Assessment centre - This usually consists of resitting the online assessments that measure your numerical and inductive (sometimes called logical reasoning) skills; a written communication exercise and a group or individual exercise
·  Final interview - This is a one-to-one interview with a senior member of staff from the business area you want to join. This is an opportunity for you to demonstrate your passion and enthusiasm for our business and your understanding of the importance of client service

When to apply
We'd advise you to apply as early as possible.

We know that the skills and experiences you develop with us will stay with you throughout your career. So join PwC. We'll help you reach your full potential.

Take the opportunity of a lifetime.

Make every future a success.
