Graduate programme
As part of the graduate programme you'll undertake a self-directed learning programme involving; studying for a professional qualification, gaining knowledge of the industry and market, self development, self awareness and leadership skills development.
Actuarial
Using complex financial and statistical theories to calculate the likelihood of events - anything from a natural disaster to a wholesale IT system failure - you'll work out what that means financially for clients. It's highly technical work and it's made all the more challenging by the fact that you'll have to present your complex findings in simple, easy to understand ways.
Actuarial Services
Actuarial Services operates within three distinct fields of work: Life Insurance, General Insurance and Wider Fields. You'll be involved in areas such as:
· Advice on Solvency and Capital requirements
· Risk management
· Reserving
· Guidance on mergers and acquisitions
· Financial modelling
· Underwriting and claims processes
· Financial and regulatory reporting Recent trends are pushing the traditional boundaries of insurance actuaries further afield and into wider markets. We call this Wider Fields. Still in its infancy, the Wider Fields opportunity offers a wide range of projects across a variety of clients, including banking (both investment and retail), healthcare and non-financial services companies.
What you'll gain
You will be given a choice to train with either the Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI) or the Institute & Faculty of Actuaries UK (IFoA). Once you've completed the exams, you will be fully qualified and a Fellow of the Institute of India / Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK.
What you need to get in
· 91% (A1) marks in Mathematics in both classes X and XII (CBSE or equivalent),
· 80% marks in English in class XII (CBSE or equivalent), and
· At least 55% aggregate in their undergraduate degree (for students who are currently in their final year of graduation, they should be on course to satisfy this criteria).
In addition to this, our eligible criteria for a student who has appeared for the GCE A Level examination are:
· Minimum Grade C in A Level mathematics or equivalent
· A second A Level in any subject at a minimum Grade C
When to apply
· The deadline for applications is 20 October 2019
· The deadline for online assessments is 21 October 2019
· The deadline for video interview is 11 November 2019
