UX design intern for Customer and Digital Strategy team

Job description

We are looking for a talented UX design intern who combines a hands on approach with the ability to tackle abstract problems. You are comfortable with a user-centered approach, have a strong sense for aesthetics, and have a proven ability in making lo-fi prototypes.

You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team consisting of designers, engineers, analysts and economists and you will likely work on a wide variety of projects across a number of industries.

In our projects you will have an important role in creating a variety of deliverables, conducting research and supporting user tests as well as client workshops. As a member of the experience team you will also be involved in strategic design decisions.

Who are you?

You are talented, ambitious and creative. You are comfortable working in a multidisciplinary, dynamic environment. While you are able to work independently, you flourish as a team player. Successful applications meet the next requirements:

·  Master student or 3rd year bachelor student (University level)
·  Demonstrable experience in user-centered design
·  Can show an online, interactive portfolio
·  Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English, Dutch is a big plus
·  Available for at least 4 months

Furthermore it is a plus if you have knowledge about and experience with visual communication including information architecture, interaction/UI design, information design and content strategy, and if you have previous experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams.
It would be a plus if you can convey an acumen for business strategy, show the ability to reflect strategic business objectives in your design decisions.

What is the job like?

You will be part of the Digital and Customer strategy team within the Strategy horizontal. This team does pioneering work in the merger between high tech innovation, the creative community, customer centricity and corporate strategy.

The team is involved in translating business problems to user experiences, conducts user tests, creates workshops, explores new technology through prototyping, translates design insights to strategic advice, amongst many other things. You are an important part of this team, having a supporting and advising role in these activities.
