Overview:

We are currently looking for an Apparel Merchandising Intern. The PUMA North America, Inc. Apparel Internship program is geared to immerse candidates in a dynamic, fast-paced merchandising environment. The individual will be directly supporting the apparel merchandising team through various hands on and computer based tasks. This position is responsible for creating visual assortments, helping prepare for meetings, handling samples, creating look books and maintaining communication with the sales team. Through this position the student will gain real life merchandising experience along with an overall understanding of the PUMA brand within Sport, Lifestyle, Fashion, Retail, Wholesale and Corporate.

Responsibilities:
·  Creation and maintenance of quarterly visual sales and merchandising tools for internal and external product presentations
·  Expand business knowledge of US product marketplace and current trends in the apparel industry
·  Gain understanding of wholesale merchandising organizations and processes
·  Tracking and maintaining samples
·  Assist in the set-up and tear down of seasonal product meetings
·  Creating visual assortments
·  Assist in the review of product assortments, ensuring appropriate product positioning and alignment with brand strategies
·  Work cross functionally with footwear merchandising team
·  Represent the brand and utilize the PUMA 4Keys (Fair, Honest, Positive, Creative) in all decisions, actions, processes and practices.
Qualifications:
·  Enrolled in BS/BA program in Marketing or Business
·  Excellent organization skills
·  Power point Savvy
·  Strong computer skills, with knowledge of basic MS Office programs
·  Proven ability to work independently, be proactive and multi-task in a fast pace work environment
·  Self-Motivated and detail oriented
·  Must be a Team Player
·  Creative eye for fashion
·  Must be able to commit 37.5 hours a week, Monday through Friday for 5-6 months.
