Job description

Hello,

My name is Nick and I am the founder of Public Renegades - a PR and music management company set up to promote the work of artists that want their work to be famous and not them directly
- our company tagline 'Fame is a four letter word'

I was inspired to set up the company after independently promoting the work of over 100 artists and reaching audiences in excess of ten million in just my first year working in the music business, now I have nearly a decade of experience and over 3000 leading contacts in the international music and film industry.

I am looking for an intern who is passionate about communication and art. Our business is not people and brands like many PR's, our business is about creativity and legend.

We have three major campaigns we are working on at the moment which have potential for interns to develop within -

School of Shaolin - a new film with the Wu-Tang Clan where my production company Urban Kingdom exclusively teamed up with the group on their 20th year anniversary tour in the UK. The film is out in October with the first press events from mid August starting at Lights of Soho in London, the members club that GQ shot Sam Smith at for their front cover.

God Save The Queen - a gender equality programme which allows women in the music industry a place to speak openly about music industry - our motto 'Sex Sells. Ask For Your Change' has been supported by leading musicians from 20 countries with audiences of 65 million online, and we have produced site only videos with musicians who have sold over 100 million records. Our first film stars Motown legend and one of fewer than 50 women in the rock and roll hall of fame Martha Reeves (Heatwave, Nowhere to Run, Dancing In The Street) and the first ever video interview of songwriter for Beyonce (Freedom/Runnin) Carla-Marie Williams. We have also captured the likes of Emeli Sande, Lily Allen and Suzi Quatro since our foundation in 2016.

Hannah Williams & The Affirmations - my production company Urban Kingdom has produced the music video for 'Late Nights & Heartbreaks' which is a record by independent musicians in Bristol 'Hannah Williams & The Affirmations'. The record was recently sampled by Jay-Z on the title track to his new album '4:44' and the youtube video of the record alone has jumped from 10,000 to 100,000 plays in the past week after Radio 1 made the Jay-Z record 'Record of the week'
The official music video is to be released in the coming weeks

Thank you for reading and hope you share our passions at being involved in one of our projects, please submit a cover letter on your passions as a person and if accepted we will bring you into the team of the according project.

Best regards,

Nick
