An exciting opportunity has arisen within the PruIT Web Services development and support team. This team build and maintain strategic IT systems for Prudential, promoting engineering focused development methodologies.

As a Senior Analyst Programmer you’ll be responsible for development, design and test of major IT solutions.  You’ll be responsible for the continuous operability of assigned platforms, manage the impacts and risks of associated activities and adhere to policies and standards as appropriate. A strong ability to interpret and implement system change from business requirements and a high degree of analytical problem solving in complex enterprise systems and web technologies is essential.

To be a successful in this role you’ll have previous experience in the IT industry and your skills/experience will include;

  • Java, Spring, Hibernate
  • Service Oriented Architecture
  • Continuous Integration, Jenkins, Sonar
  • Oracle database, SQL
  • IT architecture and infrastructure
  • Ability to embrace emerging technologies and industry best practice
  • System development lifecycle - both Agile and Waterfall.Project delivery
  • Project management principles, tools and methodologies. The following are also desirable (not essential);
  • Camel, CXF, Active MQ
  • IBM MQ
  • FUSE ESB platform You will also be required to evidence the following;
