Role Overview -

Providence Intelligence Through Foresight (ITF) is a well-established security organisation operating in various global regions with its main headquarters based in Hereford, UK. There is currently a requirement for a Technical Support Consultant to join the Special Projects Department at the Hereford office on a permanent basis, Monday to Friday 08:30 - 1700.

The primary purpose of this role is to provide technical report writing and assessments of various technical products within the Special Projects department, and to support technical sales and training in the wider business. The successful candidate will undergo a period of induction, training and support to fully equip them to conduct the role.

As part of this role all applicants must be willing to undergo UK National Security Vetting checks up to Developed Vetting (DV) level. If DV requirements are not met, candidates will be unsuitable for the role.

Day to day responsibilities

• Technical requirements capture and liaising with clients in meetings, emails and via the phone
• Operational technical report generation based on various security systems and products
• Conduct various technical and operational test measurements on security based systems and products
• Assist in technical pre-sales support to sister companies within the Providence Group
• Provide technical and project administration support
• Assist in the generation of training material and the delivery of training to technical and non-technical audiences

Education, experience and competencies -

• Essential - At least an HNC or above in a technical discipline
• Essential - Excellent written and spoken English
• Essential - A clear, concise and organised writing style
• Essential - The ability to acquire and understand technical information from written sources, discussions and project documentation
• Essential - Ability to work independently, meeting agreed deadlines
• Essential - Ability to prioritise workloads and responsibilities
• Essential - Applicants must have a valid UK driving Licence
• Desirable - Must be able to use a multitude of technical test equipment’s
• Desirable - Good ICT and networking skills
• Desirable - Proficient use of Microsoft office, especially in Word and Excel
• Already holding a level of UK security clearance would be desirable but is not essential
