Proud Galleries are looking for an exceptional intern to join our busy press department for 4 months. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate seeking to gain PR experience within the arts sector. The successful applicant will work closely with our press officer, gaining a valuable insight into the industry whilst learning new, practical skills.

The key function of this role will be to support the press team. This will include day-to-day tasks assisting the press officer through responding to press requests, organising press materials, collating press clippings and general administrative responsibilities.

Other duties are listed below:

-Researching relevant press for exhibitions and creating contact lists.
-Researching photographers to accumulate information to draft press releases.
-Assist on Private Views and press events, responding to RSVPs and welcoming press contacts.
-Creating social media schedules for exhibitions and to promote the galleries.

Skills required: This is a trainee position and no previous experience of working in a gallery is required. A passion for writing and an interest in culture and photography is a must.

Expenses will be paid for the duration.
This position will be based across our Chelsea, Strand and Camden galleries.
