PGI aims to tackle the threats faced by organisations both large and small as well as governments. From cyber security services to business intelligence, our team of world-class experts helps reduce the risks to our clients’ finances, physical assets and most of all people.
PGI Intelligence has an exciting opportunity for an Arabic speaking Intelligence Intern to join our Corporate Investigations practice for an initial period of six months.
The successful candidate will be work on projects assisting clients to identify and mitigate risks from new or existing business relationships in the region. The analyst will be required to work across PGI’s portfolio of consulting services with a focus on MENA projects, and in particular North Africa. This includes both Integrity/Enhanced Due Diligence, market entry studies and political and security risk monitoring.
Skills and behaviours
• Full professional fluency in Arabic.
• Excellent written and verbal English, plus the ability to write clearly, concisely, and authoritatively to tight deadlines.
• In-depth research skills and able to interpret large volumes of qualitative and quantitative data.
• Thorough, accurate and detail oriented.
• Team player, flexible towards change and calm under pressure.
• Previous experience of writing substantial reports, both independently and as part of a team.
Expertise, qualifications and interests
• Excellent academic credentials. Masters-level preferred but not essential, ideally in either regional studies, or a social science such as international relations, politics, history or law.
• An in-depth knowledge of current affairs and understanding of key political and business risks in the Middle East, and in particular across countries in North Africa.
• An interest in Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) resources and tools.
• Fully IT literate to include Excel/Word.
• Knowledge of French also beneficial.
