A great opportunity has become available within our client's main car Prestige dealership Group in the Bedfordshire area for an experienced and highly professional Automotive Service Manager / Aftersales Manager to join their busy Aftersales team. This is a high performing business so requires a high achieving manager with a proven track record. It is essential that you demonstrate a proven ability to achieve targets and KPI’s and can illustrate a history of exceptional Customer satisfaction as expected by a prestige brand and group.
The main responsibilities of the Service Manager are to organise the service activities to ensure the department’s efficient and profitable operation. The culture of the business is continuous consultation and development, therefore the successful candidate will be able to empower their employees and effectively manage team performance to achieve targets and department targets.
As manager of a busy main car dealership aftersales team you will also be responsible for:
- Managing a large team of Technicians, Apprentices, Workshop Controller, Service Advisors, and Support staff
- Effectively market and sell Manufacturer's service plans and warranties, labour hours, lubricants, subcontracted service to maximise profitability
- Dealing with any customer issues and complaints
- Monitoring and working to monthly, quarterly and annual targets.

Our Client is looking for a customer-focused and strong Service manager with a strong technical understanding, as well as current or very recent experience within the retail motor industry at Management level (Service Manager or Aftersales Manager). This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful dealer group managing a busy site.
The candidate needs to be one who can demonstrate good people management skills as well as implement and maintain the service core processes for the manufacturer. The candidate should have the ability to identify growth opportunity and needs to be articulate and possess a high degree of enthusiasm.The candidate needs to be commercially aware.
