Associate Consultant (Procurement Consultancy)
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 plus bonus, healthcare and benefits
Location: London HQ. Client site based with weekly travel UK wide
Our client is a leading procurement and supply chain management consulting firm in Europe, working with international corporations, market leading midsized companies and some of the world’s largest private equity companies. They are currently undergoing significant growth in the UK practice and have multiple requirements across a range of levels to support in providing success in delivering projects in a number of sectors.
There is the added opportunity for candidates to be part of a relatively small team and to contribute significantly in the growth of the UK practice, while still having the exposure to a larger support network. An important factor for any candidate wishing to join the UK team is to consider the fact that they are joining a much larger multi-national team which brings with it the opportunity to work on both UK and international projects.
Bachelor and Master Degree graduates will join as Associate Consultants and Consultants respectively. The (Associate) Consultant will immediately join national or international client projects and be supported by experienced colleagues. You will quickly be given responsibility and work closely with clients on site.
Responsibilities
• Analysis of processes and organisational structures
• Development and implementation of strategies to increase efficiency along the supply chain
• Development of sourcing strategies
• Execution of product and supply market analyses
• Operation and evaluation of tender and e-auction processes
• Preparation and conduction of supplier negotiations
• Compilation of decision papers and result presentations
Profile
• High level Bachelor’s degree (Associate Consultant) or Master’s degree (Consultant)
• Previous experience, ideally within procurement, supply chain management and/ or consultancy
• Mother tongue is English, other language skills are an advantage
• Good knowledge of Microsoft MS-Excel and other MS Office applications
• Strong analytical skills and enjoy solving complex problems
• Very good communication skills
• Ability to work in a team, flexible and resilient
• Hands-on mentality
