Primary Purpose of the Job:

There are many business units within our clients corporate structure whose main focus is the development of web applications and sites.  With a development focused skill set there is a need for infrastructure administrators with a strong knowledge of server based administration and architectural development

The Internet service team provides administrative support for a number of infrastructures related to web applications, identity management and the components surrounding these technologies.  These include areas such as:

-          WebSphere (must)

-          IIS

-          Tomcat, Apache

-          Proxy Internet Access

-          Oracle Access Manager

-          CMS Systems

-          Federation Services

-          Monitoring and F5 Content Switches.

  Possesses and applies broad knowledge of concepts and principles or exhibits technical expertise related to server infrastructure and web based application support.
  


• 
  Able to understand how concepts apply to design or architectural efforts
  


• Usually works with minimal instruction or guidance


• Has latitude for some decisions or changes to procedures; reviews unusual situations with manager


• Performs moderately difficult assignments, requiring a great deal of originality and problem solving


• Solid knowledge of project management methodologies; able to manage project phases or less complex projects


• Proficient in the application of core behaviours; exhibiting additional behavioural competencies.

  Understanding of DNS, TCP/IP addressing and networking (Internet, routers, switches)

  Ability to elicit, evaluate, and critique functional and technical requirements and design

  In-depth TCP/IP networking and troubleshooting such as the ability to capture and review network traces (e.g., using WireShark).
  


• 
  Advanced understanding of various integration technologies including web services.
  


• 
  A four year computer science or related technical degree or equivalent work experience.
  

• 
  Project Management skills.
  


• 
  Experience in selecting products meeting business requirements and designing the technical architecture for large enterprise applications.

  Expertise with architecture, design, and administration for multiple technologies and trends.
  


• 
  Familiarity with programming concepts and best practices and code debugging knowledge.

  Familiarity with clustering technologies
  


• 
  A minimum of 5-7 years of related work experience

  In Office based work environment
  


• 
  Work from home on a limited pre-approved basis only.

  Non-traditional work hours as needed.
  


• 
  Rotating after-hours On-Call.  Amount per year based on number of Full Time Employees.

  24x7x365 contact availability as needed for Subject Matter Experts
  


• Domestic and International travel may be required as necessary.
