Role overview

The candidate’s main responsibilities and duties include:

  • Use of Sage 50 to maintain books and produce trial balance, profit & loss and other reports
  • Processing invoices and expenses on Sage 50
  • Prepare invoices/credit notes
  • Bank reconciliation - reconcile transactions on Sage with bank statements
  • Production of monthly/periodic management reports and accounts
  • Process monthly payrolls including general payroll queries and related issues
  • Prepare HMRC related returns including monthly PAYE/NI submissions and quarterly VAT returns.
  • Admin and any other ad-hoc duties as required.

Qualifications and skills

  • Studying towards ACCA/ACA/CIMA/AAT qualifications
  • Fluent (business level) in both French & English (written & spoken)
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience in practice
  • Excellent bookkeeping & organisational skills, and attention to detail
  • Completely conversant in the use of Sage and Microsoft Office tool
  • Experience in the use of QuickBooks and similar accounting solutions would be advantageous
  • Provision of any related administrative requirements.
