Role overview
The candidate’s main responsibilities and duties include:
- Use of Sage 50 to maintain books and produce trial balance, profit & loss and other reports
- Processing invoices and expenses on Sage 50
- Prepare invoices/credit notes
- Bank reconciliation - reconcile transactions on Sage with bank statements
- Production of monthly/periodic management reports and accounts
- Process monthly payrolls including general payroll queries and related issues
- Prepare HMRC related returns including monthly PAYE/NI submissions and quarterly VAT returns.
- Admin and any other ad-hoc duties as required.
Qualifications and skills
- Studying towards ACCA/ACA/CIMA/AAT qualifications
- Fluent (business level) in both French & English (written & spoken)
- Minimum 1-2 years experience in practice
- Excellent bookkeeping & organisational skills, and attention to detail
- Completely conversant in the use of Sage and Microsoft Office tool
- Experience in the use of QuickBooks and similar accounting solutions would be advantageous
- Provision of any related administrative requirements.
