Job description

Pod Academy is a new non-profit podcasting platform, broadcasting entertaining and challenging podcasts about the latest academic research.

We need networkers to help us build our networks in universities. We are looking for 2 different types of networker - academic editors and student representatives.

Academic Editors/Networkers: We need a number of academic editors in different disciplines to help us build our contacts in universities, identify the exciting new ideas in the field and help us get to know the movers and shakers and the online and offline organisations that matter. You may be a lecturer, a post doc or a PhD student, who enjoys networking and wants to build their own as well as Pod Academy’s contacts.

Time commitment: 2 - 3 days per month. Location: Anywhere

Student representatives in universities: We want to build our audience amongst students, so we are looking for people to promote Pod Academy in their university. You will put up posters, make good links with your student radio station, organise events.

Time commitment 2 days per month. Location: University based.

Desired profile

Academic Editors will need good qualifications and contacts in their academic discipline.

Student representatives in universities can be any hard working student, looking for a rewarding role. They are likely to be already involved in their university's student radio.
