Plowden & Smith Limited are the largest fine art and antique conservation and restoration company in the United Kingdom. The company is internationally recognised for its specialist conservation and mount making skills and is previously by appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen (1982-2012) and the late Queen Mother (1992-2002).

Our all-encompassing service has established our reputation as an internationally recognised company, leading in the field of conservation and restoration and mount making and exhibition installation.

We are looking for a dynamic and self starting Marketing Assistant to support our dynamic growth plans.
Applicants need to demonstrate a ‘can do’ attitude, be able to work to deadline in a busy environment, and possess an excellent grasp of the English language.
Working on a broad range of projects from developing and updating a new company website and social media presence to targeted marketing campaign aimed at our core client groups. You must be flexible, quick to learn and adapt and comfortable with working on a range of tasks that range from website updates, social media, email marketing, print management, data entry, research, and reporting.
There will also be the opportunity to become involved in the development of new marketing campaigns across all four areas of our business, exhibitions, museums and projects, furniture and workshop.

Desired profile

Qualifications:
Marketing degree or other qualification or studying for similar degree
Arts related degree or other qualification
Experience of managing digital communication channels including websites, Facebook and Twitter.
Skills:
Excellent communication skills, specifically written English
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail, proof reading and collating complex information into reports.
Excellent IT skills with specific experience of working with databases, CMS, MS office applications and social media
Highly organised
Excellent time and project management skills with the ability to juggle a wide range of competing demands
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Experience of website update software, CRM, Email design

Work Experience:
Previous experience of working in marketing role
Relevant experience in an arts organisation, museum or auction house
