MISSION

The position is responsible for implementing, supporting and monitoring the good use of global ERP (SAP) - on EDI and SD function and providing timely and necessary project and operational support as well as training to key users and end users in Americas region.

 

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities:

Mainly responsible for the implementing, monitoring, analyzing, operation support of ERP(SAP) regarding to EDI and SD (EDI, inbound &outbound logistic, sales and invoice, etc). To co-ordinate new processes for EDI and do the regional administration with sales organizations and plants to serve as a backup to the global EDI Administrator.

 

Project Implementation for EDI/SD:

·  Estimate impact on application during implementation phase of projects.
·  Participate to implementation projects (Business processes gap analysis, application Configuration, Customization, Training, Data Migration, Go Live, hypercare…).
·  Provide key user trainings and user guide when needed.
·  Perform acceptance / integration / non regression testing together with core team and key users
·  Write & perform functional test cases consistent with test scenarios.
·  Monitor and guide the key user test and user acceptance test, fix and follow up defects and troubles.
·  Participate project meetings and update project status accordingly.

 

Business application operation support:

·  Analyze and trouble-shoot issues on accounts, transactions, and questions on EDI workflow and processes.
·  Monitor EDI production system and VAN Communications for errors and day to day activity.
·  Analyze customer requirements and set up and maintain cross-reference in ERP system
·  Verify EDI conversion
·  Retrieve EDI archived data to business if requested.
·  Create EDI change requests for new Trading Partners
·  Open and follow cases in EDI supplier portal/helpdesk for enhancements, requests, and failures.
·  Attend EDI meetings and help on improving end-users skills.
·  Test new partners and/or transactions.
·  Create or update mapping specs for EDI supplier. This also includes testing these map changes.
·  Create change controls and Test new processes.
·  Contact partners of EDI rejection errors and take correction actions
·  Maintain documentation of EDI up to date.
·  Create/ maintain documentation for day to day activities.
·  Create and maintain reports and queries for end-users on EDI status and statistics.
·  Provide off hours support as needed.
·  Answer to ‘HOW TO’ question on the day to day ERP activity for plants, customer centers which are relevant.
·  Conduct the level 2 support for analysis of issues and problem solving and remind the best practices.
·  Follow up user tickets, requests or calls under their resolution concerning user support, bug fix and enhancement.
·  Follow up Application Maintenance Services activities for plants where needed.
·  Complete detailed requirements for enhancement and communicate with core team if needed.
·  Coordinate and organize key user networks, ensure knowledge sharing, advocate best practice and establish improvement plan.

Ordinary IT Tasks

·  Provide IS&S operation reports and communicate with local management about issues, evolutions and improvement plan, etc.
·  Provide support or collaborate with other business application team in the region as needed when integration of system and troubleshooting.
·  Other duties as assigned

PROFILE REQUIRED

Technical Skills

·  Mastering ERP/SAP for SCM module, focus on SD, MM and WM.
·  Knowledge of repetitive manufacturing process.
·  SAP EDI (partner set up)  SAP (Mainly SD module, but others are helpful as well) customization/configuration
·  Understand different EDI/ IDOC data formats,
·  Hands on knowledge of EDI standards X12/EDFACT/VDA and messages sets: such as: 856, 830,862, 820,846 etc.
·  Hands on knowledge of EDI mapping, cr
·  Hands on experiences with EDI message, mapping and integration with SAP.

 

Personal Background

·  Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experiences with a focus on project roll out and support.
·  Minimum of 3 - 5 years SAP EDI, SD or MM or WM experiences.
·  Minimum of 3 - 5 years manufacturing / Automotive industry experience required.
·  In depth understanding of logistic business flow
·  MUST BE legally able to work in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now AND in the future
