MISSION
Program Buyer selects suppliers and negotiates contract terms in accordance with project objectives; Quality, Cost, Timing, Risk from early stage of development.
Program Buyer sources suppliers of components, tooling and specific equipment and negotiates contract terms in accordance with project objectives (Quality, Cost, Timing and Risk) and with purchasing strategy and customer requirements.
Responsible for on-time delivery of necessary components during development and ramp-up phases by working with other functional areas and suppliers globally.
Contributes to cost to market approach while proactively suggesting competitive solutions which ensure reliability, safety, compliance to norms and regulations of product/system and to ergonomic rules.
TASKS & RESPONSABILITIES
· Tracks any evolution on valorized Bill of Material
· Manages prototype development at suppliers and tooling orders
· Validates with the support of legal department all contractual and warranty documents between Plastic Omnium and suppliers
· Supports supplier development process and ensures suppliers are aligned with project objectives
· Encourages suppliers to develop technically and economically optimized products
· Proposes cost savings and contributes to improvement of material margin through sourcing alternatives or introduction of innovative solutions
· Interfaces with global purchasing organization for local sourcing and localization plans
· Anticipate cost and development demand to enhance supplier and product development.

PROFILE REQUIRED
Personal Background
· High school diploma + 2 years
· 2 or 3-year experience in purchasing area (preferably in the automotive sector) or relevant.
Skills & Abilities
· Having adaptability on multicultural and cross-departmental relations and team spirits
· Fluency in Japanese and English (Business level)
· Strong negotiator
· Strong organizational skills and prioritize tasks to meet department objectives with timely manner.
· Complete multiple activities concurrently.
· Ability to communicate effectively with other functional areas and suppliers.
· Understand products development (project/program) process
