Plastic Omnium Auto Inergy is supplying fuel and emission control systems for car makers and is a world leader in its market. The company plans to maintain its leader position by producing fuel systems for hybrids and becoming a leader in hydrogen fuel cell powertrains. In this regard, Plastic Omnium is developing its hydrogen fuel cell expertise through strategic acquisitions and joint ventures.
Plastic Omnium will also begin construction of ?-Deltatech, a new advanced center for innovation and research in Brussels, dedicated to new energies. This center will welcome, starting in 2019, more than 200 engineers.
The goal for the company is to become a major player in clean mobility and electric propulsion systems. In order to contribute to that ambition, we are looking for a VIE Mechatronics Control Engineer to make growing our Mechatronics team located in Brussels
Mission:
- Leads the definition of the dysfunctional requirements for innovative mechatronics products
- Designs and implements algorithms to meet the system requirements
- Contributes to the definition of a data driven innovation roadmap for Plastic Omnium
Main responsabilities & Tasks:
- Leads the definition of dysfunctional requirements for innovative mechatronics product.
- Analyses the world wide On-Board Diagnostic (OBD) regulations to define the OBD requirements
- Leads the dependability requirements specification
- Defines the technical safety requirements
- Works with the V&V teams to define test cases to validate the non-functional requirements
- Follows technical and scientific literature (including patents) in his field of expertise
- Designs and implements algorithms to meet the system requirements
- Works with the system architect to define the logical architecture to meet the non-functional requirements
- Designs robust diagnostic concepts to meet the non-functional system requirements
- Pre-calibration and validation of the diagnostic concepts using simulation and testing data
- Transfer of the diagnostic concepts to the software team.
- Contributes to the definition of a data driven innovation roadmap for Plastic Omnium
- Product quality improvement based on big data analytics.
- Designs diagnostic concepts using big data and IA approaches (deep learning, …)
Profil:
Personal Background
- Engineering degree or equivalent
- Good knowledge of automation, control theory, statistics and Model-based algorithm design
- Diagnostic algorithm design experience
- Experience in Matlab/Simulink
- Big data analytics knowledge is a plus
- Automotive environment knowledge is a plus
Skills & Abilities
- Good analytical and synthesis skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, team-work spirit and independent working capability
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Fluent in English, knowledge of French is a strong plus
