We have a position available for a Graduate/Junior Software Developer to join our Planet eStream software development team, working on a range of exciting products related to Media Streaming technologies.
The successful candidate should be a creative thinker with a knack for solving problems. The passion for their work should also translate into an eagerness to surpass our customers’ expectations with software that 'just works’ and lightning fast responses for our support team.
About Planet eStream…
Planet eStream is our innovative browser based media content management and delivery system. It enables organisations to create, brand, theme and manage their own secure 'YouTube’ style media archive and distribute that content on demand.
Planet eStream is the leading industry standard for live media streaming, video on demand, media archiving, IPTV, Freeview TV recording, digital signage, photo archiving, and lecture capture. We currently have a user base of over 1600 client sites in the UK and internationally and this is continually expanding.
The Role…
Specific Responsibilities

Coding, documenting, and maintaining a range of projects.

Providing second-line support for the projects developed.

Develop an understanding of the requirements of the Planet eStream user base and contribute creative and technical design solutions to the solution.

Iterate on solutions based on feedback from internal team and customers.

Be self-directed and be able to prioritize your own workload.
Personal Attributes/Technical Experience

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The ability to work well within a small team.

Great problem solver, able to deal with sometimes complex technical systems.

Ability to cope under pressure and meet deadlines.
Technical Experience
-
ASP.NET development experience with VB.NET or C# (VB.NET preferred but not essential).

A working knowledge of JavaScript, JQuery, CSS, and HTML.

A working knowledge of SQL queries.
Specific Qualifications / Work Experience
The candidate should have obtained:

An appropriate qualification in Higher Education (e.g. a University Degree or HND).

Some work based experience preferable, but not essential.
Salary
A starting salary In the region of £18,000 - £22,000 PA dependant on experience Plus company Pension Scheme, free parking and annual bonus.
