The Company
Based in the heart of Sheffield’s Cultural Industries Quarter, Pipe Ten has been providing award winning web hosting solutions and Internet infrastructure for thousands of clients in South Yorkshire and internationally since 2002.
The Role
An office based role exposing the team member to a diverse range of challenges with a weekly rotation between busy daytime support focused shifts and often quieter weekend or evening shifts allowing for research, systems and personal development. You will be responsible for support, monitoring, escalations and maintenance backed by an experienced and passionate team. Ideally suited to a self motivated individual looking to gain exposure to and improve skills surrounding bleeding edge web technologies.
Minimum Requirements
- You must have exceptional communication skills both typed and verbal in English.
- You must demonstrate a driven, committed, flexible and proactive approach to work.
- You must have experience with the design or development of websites and the applications or tools use to create or manage them (from Dreamweaver to Wordpress).
Other Desirable Skills or Knowledge
- A team player able to work autonomously and with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work well under pressure, take professional pride and seek to exceed customer expectation.
- Professional qualifications are desirable.
- Demonstrate some understanding of:
- Websites/Hosting (DNS, Email, FTP, Web, DB, http(s))
- Scripting/Web Development or Programming
- Previous experience in similar customer support or development focused roles.
The Package
- Full Time, 40 hours per week.
- 28 days leave per year including bank holidays.
- Company mobile phone and laptop.
- Generous discretionary incentive scheme based on years contributed and company profit (as much as 15% of base annually).
