Your challenge
Your key challenge in this position is to translate scientific knowledge from cognitive and/or behavioral psychology into innovative Philips service related propositions to promote health and well-being.
Developing this competency within Philips is crucial for coming up with meaningful products and services for healthy people as well as for chronically ill and thus for the growth of Philips.

Your responsibilities
· Translating scientific knowledge in the field of cognitive and/or behavioral psychology into effective technology-based applications;
· Keeping up with the newest scientific insights and innovative technologies;
· Contributing to research projects by actively participating in a project team;
· Contributing to the development of new research projects based on expertise knowledge and insights from cognitive and behavioral psychology;
· Writing and publishing internal and external reports and papers;
· Presenting work at conferences and maintaining good contacts with academic and clinical partners;
· Strengthening the Intellectual Property position of Philips by translating innovative ideas into patents;
· Contributing to the vision and strategy on solutions based on insights from cognitive and behavioral psychology.
Your team
You will be part of a team of 35 professionals/experts. The Brain, Behavior, and Cognition department has competencies on a wide spectrum of psychology, perception and neuroscience. Topics range from mental health, cognitive rehabilitation to motivation and behavior change, so the department is active in multiple domains and businesses.

We are looking for
To be successful in this role you have:
· A PhD in Cognitive Psychology or in Behavior Change. (Prior to your PhD you’ve achieved a MSc in cognitive psychology, behavioral psychology, social psychology, health psychology, neuropsychology or artificial intelligence);
· A strong scientific background and expertise in methodology and statistics;
· Research experience in the area of assessment, coaching and interventions to support health management in general or of people with cognitive impairment is a pre;
· Field experience related to patient contact in clinical settings is a pre;
· Programming knowledge is a pre;
· An innovative and creative mindset;
· The ability to translate scientific knowledge into applications;
· A flexible attitude and the ability to take initiative.
