Q&R Manager – Highland Hts, OH (Philips HealthTech)

Your challenge

As the incumbent of this Quality & Regulatory (Q&R) role within Philips, your challenge will be to guide and support Business Groups, Markets and enabling functions to always do the right thing. This involves being a confident advisor on approval, regulatory compliance and quality management related topics, in order to achieve timely releases of innovative products that deliver high quality and outstanding reliability to the lives they will improve.

Responsibilities

Working in the medical industry brings much fulfillment, as well as unique challenges. As part of our HealthTech – focused company, you will be responsible for successfully dealing with and managing Philips relationships with approval agencies such as the US Federal Drug Administration (FDA).

Key areas of responsibilities (KARS) for this role include:

·  Responsible for engaging strong intradepartmental and cross-functional/organizational relationships to drive compliance to Quality System Requirements (QSRs) and company procedures
·  Provides leadership and facilitates problem resolution, resource utilization, career counseling, coaching and mentoring of team members
·  Maintain compliance with 21 CFR 820, 21 CFR 806, ISO 13485 & 14971 while effectively perform QMS and culture change management
·  Provide guidance, recommendations and implementation plans for adherence to new regulatory requirements or expectations related to repair and lifecycle component management of medical device High Level Components
·  Will lead the development of comprehensive Sustaining Product support processes such as supplier management and sourced component qualification processes for business unit products and processes
·  Participate in regulatory inspections
·  Supplier management and control planning for repair component sourcing

Specific skill requirements for this role include:

·  Associates degree in QA, Engineering or related field OR equivalent (i.e., high school diploma/GED plus 2 years working experience, within QA engineering in the medical device industry)
·  3-5 years of experience in the following
·  Experience in leadership role
·  Demonstrated ability to develop and lead process implementation and improvement in a team environment
·  Working knowledge of Control of Nonconforming Product activities and requirements
·  Experience with CAPA processes including investigational techniques
·  Working knowledge of medical device regulations (including FDA QSRs, ISO 13485)
