Your challenge
Are you the enthusiastic, talented intern we're looking for?
We are currently looking for a talented intern to be part of our procurement team at Philips. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Philips activities, eager to learn about procurement and enthusiastic about achieving annual savings.
Your responsibilities
· 3 rd party catalogue management & development
· Ensure pricing and products are up to date and in line with our agreed rates
· Support negotiations with 3 rd part suppliers
· Identify opportunities for cost savings through analysis of spend data and knowledge of supply base
· Manage approved supplier list
· Ensure compliance to Q&R policies
· Collection of requirements from different teams
· Analyze current one off product purchases process and make it leaner
· Guidance and support to internal stakeholders on P2P processes and other procurement policies
· Tender support
· Purchase order approvals for low value items
Your team
You will be part of the UK&I Procurement Team based in Guildford and predominantly supporting the Healthcare sector.
Reporting directly to the Head of Procurement you will work in collaboration with the Healthcare Procurement Specialist, as well as, global healthcare commodity managers on procurement spend commodities such as Building Works, Displays, Hardware/Software, Professional services.
Our offer
This will be a 6 – 12 months internship which will help you build your procurement knowledge within a global environment and within complex commodities. We are looking for students able to start per August 2016.

· Currently studying towards your Bachelor in:
· Business Administration
· (International) Business Management
· Marketing
· Finance
· Accounting
· Supply Chain
· Procurement
Valid skills
· Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
· Self-started and motivated
· Positive Attitude and a desire to learn Independent learner but also able to work as a team
· Naturally curious, independent and want to work in a dynamic environment where you can interact with many people in the UK and abroad.
Requirements
· Fluent in English
