For our Industrial Cost Engineering (ICE) department supply Drachten we are looking for an Industrial Engineer who provides integral business support from a technical, financial and organizational point of view for both production in Drachten as the Business Group in Amsterdam.

Your responsibilities  

As an Industrial Cost Engineer you are part of a multidisciplinary team that is responsible for Operations of consumer health products:

·  You will initiate, participate in or lead improvement teams, always searching for new developments and alternatives, which can have a great impact on the total business.
·  You will advise (per request and proactively) on all process and organizational challenges from a financial-technical perspective. You will be involved in the creation and implementation of financial project plans (business cases), cost calculations and time and method analysis.
·  You have a close contact with our F&A department regarding financial related topics like cost prices and support of operational result analysis. Besides that you will have a close link to our Philips Excellence Lean program, driving continuous improvement.

Your role will be related to Production, Innovation, Engineering, Logistics, Purchasing and other departments within Philips Personal Health. This means you need to be able to shift between Management Team and the work floor.

Your team

The Industrial Cost Engineering (ICE) department is part of the operations team in the factory Drachten. The team has a diverse background with different responsibilities, from making cost prices and business cases, to line balancing, to being project leader of improvement programs.

Industrial Cost Engineering is a great step up in your career. Learnings at ICE can be taken to a further level, for example production manager, project leader or to the Business Group in Amsterdam.

We are looking for

In order to be a successful candidate for this position it is essential that:

·  You have a Technical or Economic Bachelor or Master’s Degree;
·  You have minimum 3 years of experience as a cost engineer in a technical environment (or you are an engineer with an interest in the financial side of technical projects);
·  You are ambitious, a team player and have outstanding presentation and communication skills and therefore able to move and inspire others on different levels;
·  You have excellent analytical skills;
·  You are able to quickly switch gears between detailed analyses and longer term higher level roadmap;
·  You have the ability to balance theory, innovation and practical realization.
