Your challenge

We now have an exciting opportunity for a Customs and Forwarding Officer to join our Sleep and Respiratory business in Chichester.

Your Responsibilities

·  Ensure products can be distributed to the right location by managing the customs and forwarding process
·  Provide the necessary information and documents to customs and calculate duties
·  Prepare product classification and execute ruling requests
·  Accountable for completion of the required documents according to local legislation and preparations of import declarations
·  Accountable for managing the presentation of import declarations to customs
·  Analysis of the available customs & forwarding data in order to decide HOW to best carry out the assignment.
·  Works autonomously within established procedures and practices.

Reporting to the Warehouse & Distribution Manager

Your standard hours of work will be 37.5 hours per week made up in accordance with your local business practice (between 6am and 6pm).

What we are looking for

·  We are looking for a colleague who has had some exposure & experience within international Customs & Excise controls.
·  Has a specialized level of skill to perform analysis as part of assigned tasks.
·  Likely to act as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience.
·  The tasks to be performed are such that they cannot be made without advance consultation of specialists.
·  The assignments are stated only in general terms and require own interpretation and analysis.
·  Previous experience is preferred but not essential as training will be provided.

KPI

This position will have related performance monitors such as Delivery on time and orders per hour along with financial awareness.
