Your challenge

Within the new IMS HealthTech organization you provide active direction and global leadership for the Industrial commodity within the IMS Real Estate and Industrial Commodity Cluster. You will drive global strategies and will initiate major initiatives in close cooperation with major Industrial sites and procurement colleagues in the local markets. Your objective is to build a world-class supply base, with suppliers who are able to deliver added value to the business through early supplier involvement and who take ownership in projects. The value of the intended procurement portfolio is between 70 and 100 million Euro. You will be working from Eindhoven.

Your responsibilities

·  Develop and execute global commodity strategies within the Industrial portfolio together with your cross functional partners and local market procurement colleagues.
·  Define and execute project/contract roll-outs in coordination with local procurement colleagues and stakeholders in Industrial sites.
·  Build, work, and where applicable, chair a demand council.
·  Establish programs for developing: Supplier relationships, Negotiations, Performance Measurement /Feedback.
·  Lead, develop, assign, and monitor sourcing projects, including responsibility for (local) reporting, funding, agreed savings and (cost) budgets.
·  Maintain a preferred supplier database.
·  Develop and maintain appropriate linkages with development, finance and service within various categories to ensure successful execution of strategies.
·  Develop procurement policy for a specific portfolio on Sector/Company level.
·  Drive synergies, improvements and new leverage opportunities for assigned portfolio.
·  Works closely with the Procurement Engineers and other relevant stakeholders (in BOM).

Your team

You are part of the Indirect Materials and Services (IMS) organization which is part of Philips Procurement. IMS manages the indirect spend for Philips HealthTech globally (3 Billion Euro) through a matrix organization of Commodity Clusters on the vertical axis and Market Procurement teams on the horizontal axis. For the Real Estate and Industrial Cluster (global team of 4 people) we are looking for a new Commodity Manager.

We are looking for

·  Bachelor/Master degree in a relevant background
·  A minimum of 3-7 years of relevant working experience within Procurement or other commercial experience in the Industrial Operations or Facility Management domain.
·  Industrial operations or Facility Management experience is a
preference
·  International experience is a requirement
·  This specific job requires an in-depth understanding of both the internal organization as the external environment
·  Combination of technical affinity, commercial affinity, strategic thinking is required
·  Good team worker and able to link up with other functional areas
·  Act as a business partner
·  Experienced influencer who is able to “getting things done”.
·  Maintains an understanding of company-wide business strategies and factors them into business and commodity planning
·  40 hours is required
·  Location: Eindhoven (NL) or Andover (MA) USA.
