Your challenge

As the incumbent of this Quality & Regulatory (Q&R) role within Philips, your challenge will be to guide and support Business Groups, Markets and enabling functions to always do the right thing. This involves being a confident advisor on approval, regulatory compliance and quality management related topics, in order to achieve timely releases of innovative products that deliver high quality and outstanding reliability to the lives they will improve.

Responsibilities

Working in the medical industry brings much fulfillment, as well as unique challenges. As part of our HealthTech – focused company, you will be responsible for successfully dealing with and managing Philips relationships with approval agencies such as the US Federal Drug Administration (FDA).

Key areas of responsibilities (KARS) for this role include:

·         Ensures that appropriate SW Quality plans are made that include all stages of the software life cycle and supports SW Quality Plan design

·         Validates key design inputs like: usability, reliability, performance, supportability, manufacturability, localizability, safety, security, privacy, serviceability, sustainability and costs

·         Provides effective oversight of: the execution of the SW Quality Plan and any Risk Management activities, and of all design related activities during the software lifecycle

·         Use post-market analytics and statistics to report on software performance in the field (provide feedback to manufacturing, suppliers or design teams) and initiate field actions when required

·         Act as a single point of contact (person assigned to project team) responsible to ensure that software design quality related requirements/criteria are completed and meet SW Quality standards for every PRP milestone

Specific skill requirements for this role include:

·         Bachelor’s engineering degree, or equivalent experience.

·         Working knowledge of appropriate global regulations, requirements, and standards.

·         3-5 years of related experience in a medical device or regulated industry.

           Experience with Agile Methodology
