We are recruiting for an Analyst to join our Loss Prevention Team at our Support Office in Handforth, Cheshire. Reporting into the Loss Prevention Manager you will analyse trends and identify risks by interpreting data and working collaboratively with the regional Loss Prevention team to drive improvement or identify fraudulent activity.

Key responsibilities;
• Support the Loss Prevention Department and other key stake holders on all reporting and analysis as directed.
• Intelligently operate data mining systems to identify and analyse risk across the retail estate and distribution centres.
• Review and analyse retail transactions to identify any potential fraudulent activity.
• Analyse and evidence all cases of actual or suspected fraud and non-compliance.
• Support the Regional Loss Prevention Managers throughout the investigation process.
• Respond to Police requests for information.
• Engage with key stakeholders to drive and promote the Loss Prevention agenda.
• Identifying patterns of loss across different categories and product groups.
• Identifying and implementing mitigating actions where store process errors are impacting margin or loss.
• Identify opportunities to protect sales.

Skills required;

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to spot trends and identify unusual patterns of behaviour.
• High level of PC literacy, particularly in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to develop relationships.
• Ability to plan, organise and prioritise work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Ability to use own initiative and integrate well into a small and diverse team.
• Able to display a high degree of confidentiality and discretion.
• Aims to deliver exceptional service.
• Strong understanding of a retail operation, either from a Store or Support Office environment is desirable.
• Previous experience Loss Prevention experience is not essential for this role.
