Pernod Ricard first gained presence in Travel Retail in the early 1980's and today Pernod Ricard Global Travel Retail is leading the value creation within the channel, whilst engaging with its travellers through multiple points of their ‘Travel Trail' journey and strong customer partnerships. Global Travel Retail is Pernod Ricard's 2nd largest market in terms of profit and a strategic focus for the business.

The role
As the Market Strategy and Intelligence Analyst, you will be responsible for consolidating, analysing and presenting priority data for the channel; which includes Global Travel Retail (GTR) environment trend, market trends (volume/value), competitor activity, passenger numbers. You will also be required to provide support to the central Marketing team and other stakeholders across GTR, such as Finance and the Commercial teams.

Other key responsibilities include:
• Strategy & Analysis
o Independently produce accurate intelligence reports leveraging business, and market intelligence and insight
o Run business analytics on internal and external data for and provide support on development of brand / company strategy;
o Manage passenger traffic analysis and reporting on an on-going basis
o Be responsible for management of data sources, running accuracy checks and archiving
• Competitive Intelligence
o Manage competitor tracking including monthly internal coordination and using information to build profiles and track competitor activities;
o Produce the monthly marketing reporting and newsletter building (including basic write up of key events);
• Market Intelligence
o Scan, track and collect information that may impact GTR in the travel retail environment (including but not limited to key news on travel competitors, airlines, airports, passengers/key nationalities and from key domestic markets);
• Operational Excellence
o Support delivery of the GTR business review and planning process in line with Group Pernod Ricard (GPR) guidelines together with wider GTR team.

Experience required
• You will have a strong background in market research or business intelligence
• Experience in commercially focused business intelligence role with a proven track record in the FMCG / Drinks industry is ideal
• International experience with exposure to multiple markets an advantage
• Strong commercial acumen and business awareness essential
• You will need to be capable of taking a cross-functional, holistic view of the business.

Additional skills needed
• Ability to collate large amounts of data and interrogate to support business and brand strategy decision making;
• Strong project management, planning & organisation skills,
• Proficiency in excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent relationship building and communication & influencing skills
• Fundamental knowledge of brand marketing
