Position Title: Level 3 Operator – Vatting Spirit Ops (Double Dayshift)

Purpose:

To ensure the supply of spirit to bottling lines, on time and within specification, this should be in accordance with Spirit Plan and adhering to strict HMRC guidelines

Key Responsibilities:

·  Check spirit strength, tint & availability to meet spirit plans and with an understanding of bottling line requirements
·  Liaising with Spirit Planner, other Spirit Ops, Vatting, Blending, Spirit Analysts, Bottling & Quality departments.
·  Maintain vigilance over systems at all times in regard to vats emptying, filling and remnants returning.
·  Check all follow-on vats are available as required
·  Monitor all holding tanks and if required return spirit to Vatting.
·  Maintain condition of Vatting area i.e. Flexi hoses connected disconnected and racked as required, keep area clean and tidy, and record any leaks, drips or lighting issues as they arise in accordance with SSOW and SOP's
·  Carry out strength checks on vat samples.
·  Ensure all vats are accurately dipped when required.
·  Update systems accurately as soon as possible after every transaction/movement.
·  File & maintain paperwork accurately and as soon as is possible after every transaction/movement, including Duty free/paid sample labels and certificates
·  Ensure all parties are informed of any spirit related issue which could impact on line efficiency as soon as is practicable & work to resolve the issue promptly.
·  Ensure that the bottling hall opening and shut down procedures are followed whenever required.
·  All period end accounts are filled in accordance with HMRC stipulations and returned to the relevant personnel within specified timescale.
·  Participate in continuous improvement exercises

·  Previous experience within the Spirit Supply operation would be advantageous
